The Colony : Discovery Channel

anybody that watches the discovery channel probably already knows the deal about this show, I just really think it would be a extremely fascinating concept to either observe or even be included in such a wild experiment like this.  I just wish it was more along the lines of an uncut video format, with cameras that were just posted randomly all over the place, hidden from all the survivors.  because even in a situation like this I think people act different on camera, and i haven't seen enough of this show to figure out whether these people knew ahead of time that they were going to be on the discovery channel, or that they thought they were just being video taped for the sole reason of being in an experiment.  i have a feeling its the former.  it's a little goofy in some parts that's why, although i'm not sure if thats because they know that it's just an experiment or they know that its going to be framed as almost a reality show once its cut and edited for the discovery channel.  the idea of it all though, is very cool in my book.

seems like an interesting news channel

the worst thing about the NFL

i have adjudicated  that my my biggest beef with the NFL is perfectly illustrated by this article right here.  the NFL needs a rookie salary cap worse than anything.  I know these kids work hard, but its that, their kids; and it's the NFL.  it irks me that they have not at all implicated some sort of salary restriction for at least the first year of a rookie's contract.  it's sickening how much money the veterans make already, more every year, bigger contracts every year.  but the rookies, and this guaranteed money.  the teams need to just all come together and say they are not going to give rookies this much money, if the league will not do anything about it.  if you can explain to me a good reason to give a kid this much GUARANTEED money, i'm open for suggestions.  although this is probably my biggest problem with the NFL, the whole concussion thing and the care that hasn't been taken of some of the retired NFL players comes in a close 2nd.

An interesting read. It's obvious how I feel about this issue too. My view of the whole mess is a little more drastic even. So when I come across something like this, I feel as though everybody should read it.

Liberal Idiot of the Week - The Mainstream Media

The mainstream media has been in rare form this past week. They've been working overtime to paint Fox News as a racist organization based on their handling of the Sharon Sherrod story. As we all know, the last thing these people care about is the truth when advancing their agenda.

Case in point, Howard Dean showed up on Fox News Sunday this morning selling the current liberal talking point - Fox News caused the media feeding frenzy that lead to Sherrod's forced resignation. It didn't matter to Dean that Fox News never mentioned her name until after the Obama administration had forced her resignation. Nope, he had his point to make and he was sticking to it no matter what - "Fox News is a racist". Thankfully, Chris Wallace explained to Dean that his timeline didn't add up and made the guy look like a twit in the end.

Dean is certainly not alone in trumpeting this bogus line. Joan Walsh, editor in chief of Salon.com, actually suggested that because Sherrod's father had been killed by a white farmer, she was entitled to say anything she wanted about race or white people. Really? What if we found out that Mel Gibson was robbed and beaten by a black man when he was younger. Would that make everything he has said about black people OK? I hardly think that Joan or anyone else on the Left would think so.

Of course, it's never a two-way street with the Left. As far as I can tell, the narrative from the spineless, biased media heading into November is that if you vote for the conservative candidate, you're a racist or Uncle Tom - depending on your ethnic status, of course. If you vote for the liberal, your an angel on the right hand of God.

That's the line they've drawn and I reject it out of hand. They can take their bogus charges of racism against Fox News, and conservatives in general, and stick 'em.

For this and so many other reasons that would take years to list, the mainstream media are the Liberal Idiots of the Week

Find the person most likely to think Obama and the liberals suck

Ok, this is screwed up if its true.

So on FOX news, i heard Judge Andrew Napolitano say that the founder of WikiLeaks had offered the leaked Afghan documents to the White House weeks before they were published in the press, and heard nothing back from them. Here's the clip of Judge. I'm not sure what this Assange guy was trying to accomplish by doing this, I would understand if he was from the Middle East or something, but what the fuck man? Everybody is saying that all that information was already known, yet there was a great deal of classified information within it. Why are we not searching for this guy to prosecute him? Is this not a crime? To release information that hasn't been declassified yet?

Cops Destroy Almost Billion Worth of Weed in California

Police in California over the last three weeks have arrested over 100 people and destroyed 432,000 marijuana plants worth at least $1.7 billion dollars. Maybe they should have put it towards the states $19 billion dollar budget deficit.

PS. When he was on the view yesterday morning, I thought of something that was quite funny. I don't think there was an audience for that interview. He totally acted like there was, and waved and all that crap, they even played fake cheering and laughing. I just don't think they vetted every single person that was coming on that show that day, so therefore they couldn't have all those people that close to the President. Haha, that cracks me up.

shirley celebrity sherrod

Well, where do you even start talking about this story. I wanted to wait til' a few days after the whole farce ended, just in case something else came up & so I could get the whole truth about what really happened that day. Now, after watching the conservative and liberal sides of this fiasco & reading quite a few articles about it; I've come to the conclusion that THERE ARE 1,837,239,344,567,745,456 OTHER THINGS YOU COULD BE REPORTING ON AND WORRYING ABOUT.
Instead of firing back and forth at each other on who is lying and who is telling the truth and who is right and who is wrong, GIVE ME A BREAK. But nonetheless I feel like I have found the middle ground on what transpired the day she was asked to resign. Here is Brett Baier today talking about how Howard Dean keeps lying about FOX News & their coverage of this story. And although FOX News didn't run a single story about Shirley Sherrod that day, there was definitely some coverage of it on their website that day. So saying that they are completely innocent in this, would be a lie if you asked me. But they definitely did not do what all the liberals are accusing them of doing. Accusing FOX of being racists and bigots? Sometimes I wonder if its not just being liberal, it's just people being complete idiots. Maybe liberals are idiots? I don't know. I know a few intelligent ones, so it can't be ALL of them. But to completely fabricate something and run it on MSNBC as a substantial story, is just a slap in the face to anybody that watches it. Why is there not more of an outrage about them lying, or an outrage over the WHITE HOUSE taking something so far out of context, and not even watching 30 more seconds of the video to see that she wasn't really being a racist. What about the NAACP? They said they were "SNOOKERED" by FOX and Breitbart into believing Sherrod was being racist. Seriously, that information has to pass through quite a few people, especially when the orders for a resignation comes directly from the White House? You're telling me NOBODY else watched the rest of the video to see that it wasn't what they thought it was? When a Conservative patriot that wants to bring down the whole left-wing institution releases an edited video, you should probably WATCH THE WHOLE THING. But instead, it's allllllllll FOX's fault somehow. People have to understand though, that these are the tactics the left uses, only Breitbart used the same right back at them. Although it might seem childish, it might be the only way to counter all the bullshit liberals seem to come up with. I wish people were just generally smarter, and less easily influenced. Maybe then, people could make up their own minds. This is probably exactly what the left wanted, another 'reason' (or excuse as i like to call it) to brand the tea-party & other republicans as racist bigots.

Here is a clip from Comedy Central's 'The Daily Show' of Jon Stewart poking fun of pretty much every person involved in this thing. It's quite amusing. Even though Jon Stewart is an idiotic socialist. This may be the most fair reporting he has ever done. The Obama Administration has to know they're really in trouble when a former kool-aid drinking Obama cultist like Jon Stewart has flown the coop and begun to actually report things fairly. Then again, probably not. I wish for one day I could be inside the head of one of these people, just to see what the benefits are of thinking like liberals do? I see nothing attractive about that point of view. I don't know where or how these people form their opinions?

I know this guy is my hero though...

a great example of the wonderful logic of liberals

This morning on Morning Joe, Mika Brzezinski actually made me laugh out loud when she said this. It's just another shining example of the twisted logic that liberals try to pass on as normal. This show is so completely ridiculous some mornings, that I can't believe they are allowed to be on cable tv. You're probably asking why do i watch it then? I have 3 TV's in my room and I like to have a different news channel on each one of them in the morning. It's easier to find a middle ground when you have FOX on one tv, CNN on another, and NBC on the other one. But every now and then I will flip over the the extreme left crazy MSNBC show, just to see what they have to say. This morning I happened to catch Mika actually blaming men in general for the collapse of Wall Street, and that if it would have been women, it wouldn't have happened.

Predators & Inception

So sunday I went & saw the new predators movie, and although I'm usually kind of weary about movies that just keep putting out sequel after sequel after sequel. Even though, I don't remember AVP: Requiem very well, this movie takes it back to the same way the first Predator was shot. It's in the jungle, and they actually make a reference to Arnold & what happened in the first one. I thought the movie was as good as it could be, I enjoyed it very much, and if you are a fan of the predator movies, I highly recommend going to see this one. I thought the acting or screenplay might be a little corny, but I thought overall they did a good job with it. The special effects and camera angles were probably the parts I enjoyed the most. I feel like camera angles can make a movie twice as good. I always refer to Denzel Washington's Man On Fire, the way it was filmed made it one of the best movies I have ever seen. Even though it was a remake of the older 'Man On Fire'. I can't believe Predators is like 10th on the list of box office earnings. I figured it would have made more than 3 million the first weekend. Maybe once people find out it's not like the AVP movies and its back the original Predator story, it might gain a little more recognition. I mean "Grown-Ups" has 4 million more than Predators does, and it has the worst rating of all the movies out at the theater right now. Ehhh, whatever.

The weekend before I went out on my first "date" in a few years, and I saw Inception. I wasn't sure whether I was going to like it or not, but I went because I liked the girl that asked me to go. The first 20 minutes of the movie I wasn't really sure what was going on, but as soon as the opening scene was over & it calmed down, the actual storyline came into play, I was definitely intrigued. I have always been a person who was curious about dreams and what goes on in my brain while I am asleep, and why we have yet to completely understand it all. I highly recommend this movie, I have only heard 2 negative reviews of this movie, and although I loved it, I can see where some people might not enjoy it. The director is the same guy that did the recent Batman movies, and he must have enjoyed working with some of the actors, because he uses at least 3 of the same people. There might have been more, but I only picked out Alfred (Batman's Butler), the chinese ninja guy from the first one, and Cilian Murphy (the guy that put the burlap sack on his head). The special effects are absolutely marveling & I wouldn't be surprised if some people got motion sickness from watching it. It was like 'The Matrix" on steroids. I'm excited for the DVD release, to watch the making of and all the behind the scenes stuff.

So, if you are wondering what movie you should go see. I recommend both of these.

Rachel Maddow makes my skin crawl

So I woke up this morning to an email from a friend, linking me to a clip from the Rachel Maddow show. It had to do with the Shirley Sherrod story, and how Fox News is racist and how Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity were responsible for the firing of Ms. Sherrod. Now I listened to Shirley Sherrod tell the story about Cheryl Cook calling her and telling her to pull her car over and tender her resignation "because she was going to be on the Glenn Beck show." HAHA. Glenn Beck has the White House on edge it looks like, they are firing people for stuff they think might happen. Pathetic? Yeah, I'd say so. Now I know that condemning somebody just for their political ideas is wrong, but I think Rachel Maddow is one of the stupidest people to ever have their own show on cable tv. Everybody on MSNBC are idiots, but she takes the cake. Politifact.com is a good site to see who is lying and who is telling the truth in politics, they pulled a handful of quotes from Rachel Maddow, and NOT ONE of this woman's statements were even half true. I don't understand, I know there's freedom of speech and all that, but I wish there was some kind of mediator for cable television, someone or something that could keep people like this in check when they are just lying through their teeth to the thousands and thousands of people that are watching it. Those single host kind of talk shows are dangerous if you ask me, for the sole reason that they can say anything they want, and the only people to correct them, are people that email the damn show. It's ridiculous. That's why I find www.politifact.com to be such an interesting site. I think everybody should read it, everybody should go check facts on stuff they hear, before they form an opinion. You got every news show in the country talking about some damn FDA official for a week now, come on Mr. President - LETS GET BACK TO THE REAL PROBLEMS IN THIS COUNTRY. Personally calling Shirley Sherrod to apologize. Since when does the POTUS call someone like that and apologize, an FDA official at that. She should have kept her mouth shut and just did her job, instead of trying to politic. Obama, how bout you call the families of the murdered farmers in Arizona? Just a thought.

God in the classroom

I love articles like this, because it's easier to just tell someone to read it, because trying to tell a religious person about something that goes against what they think, is like killing kittens. They just don't even want to hear the common sense approach to the whole situation. But this is a good article from a scientist professor about being asked by a student whether or not he believed in God since he was a 'scientist'.

Radio Stations! GET A CLUE.

Here's another article from the Tune Lab site, about how bad radio stations are actually becoming.

Stopping Pre-Release Album Leaks

Here's an article from one of the sites I visit frequently for updates on music. It's on the topic of stopping albums from leaking out into the public before they are legitimately released. I have always had a problem with this, although I am guilty of listening to some albums before they have been released, if they wouldn't have been available, I wouldn't have done it. But the artists that I probably did look up, were some of my favorite ones, and there's a 99% chance that I bought the cd when it came out anyways. I'm old fashioned, I do download some music, but I definitely buy the actual CD's of all the bands that I like. So, I'm not one of those kids that just downloads whole albums and never buys a CD. I do have a problem with that method of obtaining your music. Most people know I enjoy music more than that average Joe, therefore this is the reason this is sort of a soft spot for me. I like to support the artists I frequently listen to, and I think everyone else should do the same thing, before the music industry goes completely viral and there are no more live shows or anything like that.

CNN

So I'm sitting here eating "breakfast", waiting to make a wake-up call to a beautiful young lady and I find myself emailing the CNN morning news show, telling them that they lose more credibility by the day with these ridiculous people they invite to come on and speak. It's freaking absurd. Not only do I wonder where these idiots come from, but how a major news channel let's people like this talk to the millions of viewers. I mean its no surprise, but it just pisses me off more everyday. I have 3 TVs in my room, one little one by my desk, then two bigger ones stacked on top of each other. The real reason for having 3 is for sports really, but it also works for morning news shows. I like to put FOX on the main one, and then HLN with the lovely Robin Meade on another one, then i usually put CNN or NBC on the little one. It's so hard for me to watch NBC anymore though, sometimes they have wonderfully heartfelt, interesting stories on there, but they have also become the most LIBERAL news channel on television. It's ridiculous how bad they sound, and how clueless they really are. Don't get me wrong, there are some liberal principles I definitely agree with, but the overall like progressive liberal agenda, is just completely not my cup of tea. I think liberalism is just socialism dressed up in a more modern form. I'm sure there were millions of college students, and African-Americans, and probably a bunch of white anti-Bush people, that voted for Obama, without knowing a single tidbit of what socialism really is. The media has dressed up Obama so carefully, that easily influenced people just gobbled it right up. I even did, for about 2 weeks. I just heard today that there was more than 2000 voter complaints in Texas alone, of voter intimidation on the behalf of the Obama administration. There is a documentary out now (We Will Not Be Silenced? that might be what its called), that supposedly has hard evidence of all this stuff. Like if this happened, how the hell do you stop it from happening again? Scares me. But going back to the different news channels I watch in the morning. People usually have a standard news show they watch in the morning, whether its NBC, or ABC or Good Morning America, or Fox & Friends, or Morning Joe or CBS. Usually republicans/conservatives watch Fox, maybe ABC or CBS, but they usually never watch CNN or MSNBC, and vice versa with liberals/democrats. I think everybody should switch what news channel they watch, just to make sure they get if not the full story, at least 2 different sides of it. People need to understand what's really going on in this country. As of a few years ago, I wasn't too big into politics, but now that our country is going to radical changes, I almost have to care, because it is going to affect me, and my children. I don't know how liberals can continue to stand by such a horrible unexperienced POTUS. The average person, doesn't know the extent of the radical agendas of the maniacs he surrounded himself with inside the White House. It is absolutely ludicrous that conservatives are the only people upset over this. If some of the so called Obama zombies/young liberals I have spoken to, even knew the slightest bit about some of the people Obama gets advice from, I guarantee they would have thought twice about who/what they voted for. Most of these idiots just voted for a guy that said our government was bad, and it needed changed, and it needed to be transparent. Hell, I woulda voted for somebody that said all that. But you have to do a little research before you dive right in. The media made George Bush out to be so bad, I couldn't believe it. Yeah, I wouldn't have voted for George Bush, but I bet if they wouldn't have made him look so bad, Obama wouldn't have looked so good. But now that I've ranted about all this crap, my point was just to not watch the same news channel all the time. You'd be surprised if you switched the channel and heard how different some of the stuff is portrayed.

My 1st Blog?!?!

I was on vacation earlier this month, and although I have contemplated writing my own blog before, my Aunt told me that she thought it would be a really good idea. I used to have a journal when i was younger, and the way my mind works, being able to type and not physically write my musings and rantings down, almost gives me more of an incentive to do it. If i had to write with a pen or pencil all the crazy stuff I think about, I just couldn't do it, it would take too much time, and i would get tired/sick of it eventually. Being able to post links and pictures and all that stuff, makes it a lot more interesting than a journal. I do have stacks of journals i filled up when i was younger. i think everyone of my ex-girlfriends bought me a journal or two at one point. I wish this thing would change all my lower case i's and turn them into I's. I'm not really sure who is going to read this thing, but then again, i'm sure almost every blogger thought that at one point when they were writing their own blogs. So I've been messing with the stupid layout of this blog, and I just can't get it where or how i want it, so im just gonna leave it like this, and then maybe change it up later. i do like the library/book theme though. I was thinking about posting like a daily picture, or daily funny picture, or video or something of the sort, but i haven't figured out the easiest way to do that yet. I'm not completely sure how this blog works yet. But hey, i got my first entry in, and now i feel special.
